The summit of the Schmittenhöhe in Zell am See offers a unique mountain panorama, making it the perfect setting for your tandem flight!
The cable car takes you comfortably up to the take-off point at 2000 metres - from here you already have a wonderful panoramic view of the numerous peaks in the surrounding area and Lake Zell. After a short briefing and a few quick steps, you take off together with your experienced tandem pilot and can enjoy the fascinating landscape from a bird's eye view. The CLASSIC flight lasts up to 20 minutes and is possible at any time of year.

Physical requirements:
Tandem paragliders allow a weight range for passengers to be anywhere from 15 kg to 110 kg. There is no age limit and we have experience flying young children from age 6 as well as senior citizens. Physical fitness is of course an advantage but not a requirement. If there are any uncertainties that arise, please feel free to discuss them with us. We're happy to assist you with any questions you may have.
Important Information:
Pictures and Video of your flight on SD card bookable on spot: If you like your pilot will take pictures and will film you during the tandem flight. We will transfer the data directly to your smartphone after the flight - of course, you can check beforehand whether you are satisfied with the quality.
Weather:
Paragliding depends on wind and weather and this is difficult to predict, especially in the Alps. Therefore we decide the day before whether the flight can take place. We will get in touch with you in case of bad weather and will try to move the appointment to another time/day with better conditions. In order to enable you to use this special service we kindly ask you to be available on the cell phone number or the e-mail address you’ve given us in the booking process. You are also welcome to inform yourself about the weather situation with us in advance, especially if you have a longer journey.
Please don’t rely too much on weather apps - they can give you an overview, but in our experience they often aren’t correct.
Duration:
The trip takes about 2 hours in total. Your flying time depends on the wind conditions and thermals and can last between 15-30 minutes.
Location:
Meeting point is usually the bottom station of "Schmittenhohe". The cable car is closed one week after Easter to mid May, also mid October to the beginning of the skiing season. During this time the alternative locations are reachable by car. Therefore, the possibility of your flight depends on wind and snow.

The price shown is for 1 person.
Pictures and videos as well as the costs for the ascent with the gondola have to be paid extra.
Group size:
Two persons can fly at the same time, bigger groups will fly one after the other.
Spectators:
Family and friends can watch you become airborne and take pictures at the take off, or they can wait for you at the landing field, both options are possible. The area around Schmittenhöhe Mountain is perfect for hiking and offers a restaurant on top. This is the perfect place to take a picture before take off.
Equipment / clothing:
We recommend wearing hiking boots, long pants and a jacket for your flight. Depending on the season and the weather conditions, you may also want to bring a pair of gloves with you.
